Our class is involved with the AVID Elementary program. Students will be working on organization, study skills, note taking, and taking personal responsibility in order to help them in long-term preparation for college. For more information, visit www.avid.org

Students are expected to read 40 minutes per night, at least five days per week.

Please check in with your student regarding meeting their Accelerated Reading Point Goal. At the bebinning of each quarter students are given a new point goal and 20% of their Reading Comprehension grade is based on meeting their point goal. See below for further detail
- At the beginning of every quarter students are given their point goal which is determined by the assessment given through the AR program. Students can access Acelerated Reader at home through the website listed below. Students Reading Grade comes from meeting student point goal and comprehension tests from Reading Text. Accelerated Reader is a program that tests a students reading comprehension of books that students have choosen themselves and are interested in reading.
